We are thrilled to announce the pilot opening of our Organic Juice & Detox Bar inside the Blissberry location in South Beach on Tuesday, June 1st.

Keep your shoes near the door you enter your home. When you walk around your home in your shoes you are potentially tracking dirt, dust, pollen and other toxins throughout your home, which can be hazardous to your health especially if you have rugs or carpeting. They linger around for up to a week.

When doing a cleanse, there are many different ingredients and substances used in the process and just because the programs sounds good, one or some of the items may not be suitable for you. Specifically, when doing a Juice Fast we highly recommend only consuming organic fruits and vegetables because it does not do your body any good to fast on chemically-laden food, which add more toxins to your system.

If you must have a beverage while eating, drink non-caffeinated/non-alcoholic warm or room temperature beverages while eating. Cold beverages slow down digestion. Food is digested more efficiently around body temperature. Hot water with lemon or herbal teas are the best choices, however, try your best not to have a beverage until you're done eating.

Digestion starts with chewing is the If you do not complete the chewing process your stomach enzymes cannot do their job making it almost impossible for the intestinal enzymes to break down the food when it finally gets there. If the above dates do not work for you, please tell us what 4 consecutive days in May or June fit your schedule, by either commenting below or emailing us at abetterway@city.com We are running a few other programs in Miami.

The first thing we recommend is checking your calendars. The program includes at least 3 days of preparing (cutting out alcohol, caffeine, tobacco, no re-stocking on groceries, etc.) So if you have an event, family activities, heavy work schedule, we do not advise you to participate. Detox programs are mainly about giving yourself  & your digestive system a much needed rest.

Each day the group meets in the designated location for approximately 1 hour. We pick the 1 hour times slots for each day based on the group's schedule. It may or may not be perfect but we try our best to accommodate everyone. The group session each person needs to attend is Day 1. The Detox Yoga is optional and the Day 4 Group Meal is highly recommended because it is filled with education and information on what you just did during the detox program and strategies to further incorporate cleansing into your lifestyle to increase your energy levels, maintain or lose weight, prevent back-up in other body systems, etc. - Plus, Day 4 is Fun!
